We have flatbed tow trucks and landoll trailers. We offer full service. We do not use wreckers as they are not the safest way to haul. Tow trucks have more capabilities than wreckers.

We offer both wheel lift tow trucks and flatbed tow trucks. Each serve a service that is unique to each type. Below are descriptions on each type of tow truck:

When You Need a Wheel Lift Tow Truck?

Front Wheel Drive (FWD), or Rear Wheel Drive (RWD), vehicles can be towed safely with a wheel lift tow truck. Most vehicles on the roadway are either FWD or RWD vehicles. They are perfect for parking garages and alleys. It is not recommended to go great distances using a wheel lift tow truck.

When Do You Need a Flatbed Tow Truck?

When you have a vehicle that is All-Wheel Drive, 4 Wheel Drive, equipped with E-Brakes, lowered, or electrical , all require flatbeds. Flatbeds cannot go into parking garages or small alleys. If you towing your vehicle for long distances, you should use a flatbed, regardless of the type of vehicle.

No matter what type of truck you need, we have you covered. Call us at (713)260-2599 for more help.

There are many types of tow trucks.Flatbed tow truck: This type of truck has a long, flat bed that can be used to transport vehicles that cannot be towed behind the truck.Wheel-lift tow truck: This type of truck uses a device that attaches to the front or rear wheels of a vehicle to lift it off the ground and tow it behind the truck.Boom tow truck: This type of truck uses a boom-like device to lift the front or rear of a vehicle off the ground and tow it behind the truck.Integrated tow truck: This type of truck has a flatbed and a wheel-lift or boom built into the same unit, allowing for greater versatility in towing different types of vehicles.Hook and chain tow truck: This type of truck uses a chain and hook to lift a vehicle and tow it behind the truck. This type of tow truck is less commonly used today due to concerns about safety.Repossession tow truck: These are specially equipped trucks that are used to repossess vehicles. They are often built to be stealthy with features like emergency lights that can be turned off, so as not to attract attention. Tow Trucks are divided into light, medium and heavy duty. Light-duty, medium-duty, and heavy-duty tow trucks are used for different types of towing and have different capabilities.Light-duty tow trucks are typically used for towing smaller vehicles, such as passenger cars, small SUVs, and pickup trucks. They have a lower weight capacity and are not typically equipped to handle commercial vehicles or heavy equipment. They are smaller in size and can navigate through tight spaces and residential areas easily.Medium-duty tow trucks, on the other hand, are typically used for towing larger vehicles and equipment, such as commercial trucks, buses, and construction equipment. They have a higher weight capacity than light-duty trucks and may be equipped with specialized equipment, such as a flatbed or a boom lift, to handle a wider range of towing needs.Heavy-duty tow trucks are the largest and most powerful type of tow truck. They are used to tow the heaviest and largest vehicles such as semi-trucks, construction equipment and even tractor trailers. They typically have an extremely high weight capacity and may be equipped with specialized equipment such as a full rotating bed, twin winches, and extendable booms. They are also equipped with air brakes and air-ride suspension which makes them able to handle the heavy loads. It's also worth noting that Heavy-duty tow trucks usually require a commercial driver's license (CDL) for operation, which is not required for light-duty and medium duty ones.If you need a light duty tow truck service in the Spokane area call Big Jim's Towing 509-257-4336.
